TripAdvisor Traveler Rating

The Frazier History Museum is a world-class museum located on Museum Row in the Bourbon District of downtown Louisville. An affiliate of the Smithsonian Institution, the Frazier documents and reinterprets stories from Kentucky, United States and world history using artifacts, gallery talks and live daily performances by a talented staff of costumed actors known as "teaching artists."

In 2018 the Frazier became the official starting point of the Kentucky Bourbon Trail®, with the opening of the Kentucky Bourbon Trail® Welcome Center, a facility located on the first floor of the building that remains open during museum hours with no cost of admission. A permanent exhibition on the third floor, The Spirit of Kentucky®, offers a visual guide to the history, craft and culture of Bourbon whiskey.
